Extra Coaches needed

As you know AYSO Extra is our elite division that
is meant to be equal to or better
than local club soccer programs. We seek,
qualify, and train the best coaches we can
get which requires a higher level of commitment
from coaches and a much higher level
of training and ability. We prefer Allstar
coaching or other higher level coaching
experience & certification.

Q:
Where do we get U6/U7/U8 awards/Ron Volk
awards/Sponsor plaques?
A:
Remaining awards and plaques are in the Training Center/Info booth.
Coaches please make sure someone from
your team picks these up

How can we find out our team’s FINAL standings?
A:
At the Referee tent – ALL live results are recorded
there.
Q:
Who gets trophies in competitive divisions
(U10/12/14)??
A:
1st, 2nd, and 3rd place teams (each bracket) in the
final standings get trophies.
U14 Girls 3rd place team (winner of
12:30
game) will be given out.
U14 1st & 2nd place will be given out
Sunday
after the last game.
Q:
What is the process for getting these?
A:
LAST games begin at
2:15 PM Saturday

TROPHIES will be
distributed at
3:45PM
at the Training Center.
3rd place trophies will be given out at
3:45 PM
sharp

ALL 1st and 2nd place teams will be eligible for AREA
E playoffs and
COACHES
MUST
attend a short briefing
about the playoffs, THEN you will get the
trophies for your
team (around
4PM
).
Q:
Can we get trophies early?
A: NO
– We have been burned several times by the
confusion of giving
them out early. Please don’t
ask for this.
Q:
Can anyone get the trophies for the team?
A: 3rd place YES – 1st & 2nd – NO
The head coach or ASST. must attend the
briefing as there are ACTION
items that NEED to be completed.
Q:
What happens to standings if it rains?
A:
We will award places based on previous weeks
results, using tie breaker
rules and possible
coin flips. These are in your Coach’s Guide.
Q:
Can my team still practice if I am going to Area
Playoffs?
A:
Yes. BUT you must send an email to John Carta at john.carta@verizon.net to reserve a
practice time at the Creek.

attend and be able to discuss your entire team, with emphasis on the strongest
and weakest players, and the impact on your finishing team record.

Based on the Area E playoff slots, we will offer
invitations to Area play to the following teams based on their finishing
position:
U10 Boys Top 2 of Groups A and
B
U10 Girls Top 2 of Groups
A and B
U12 Boys Top 2 of Groups A and
B
U12 Girls Top 4 of Group
A
U14 Boys Top 2 of Group A
U14 Girls Top 2 in the
League playoffs
AND
we are assuming good behavior on behalf of coaches
and teams to be invited.
