Ron Volk Awards
-----------------------
Ron Volk was a Region 9 coach, Division director, Commissioner, and much more. He
spent his time on the fields assuring that children had a place to play the game.
His love for children drove him to each task he took on. He was diagnosed with leukemia
which eventually took his life at a young age – and we will always miss him.
Region 9 gives out an award that bears his name – not just a sportsmanship
award – it should be regarded with the highest esteem -- even more so
than a first place trophy. Ron’s gift to children continues through this
award. Please consider a player on your team to receive this sportsmanship award
and keep it in mind. Awards (these will not be labeled with names) will be available
for you to give out in Week 11.
U14 girls Allstar team
-----------------------------
We still do not have a coaching team
(coach and assistant) to take the U14 girls allstar team that begins in December.
We would prefer a coach from the
division but it is open to any coach that is trained to intermediate level or above,
and is an active coach coaching a team during the fall.
